Christmas this year

Dear Church Family,

Board Meeting September 2011

Here are the meeting minutes for the Board of Directors meeting in September

Pain

The passing of summer, the birth of fall (school!!!)

"GUESS WHAT?!?!?!?", I excitedly ask my kids. "What?" "SCHOOL'S COMING", to which I hear the reply, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" As I sit in my office and look out the window, I see another wonderful summer day: the sun is shining, there is a gentle breeze blowing, and (praise the Lord) there is air-conditioning. And yet in the near-future, there will soon be football, Homecoming, and getting the kids up early for the bus.

First Impressions

Greeters Wanted!!!!!!!!!!
Our greeters are the first contact we have with guests who visit our church. So we want this to be Excellent. Unfortunately, we have some gaps in our schedule where we could use more smiling faces.

So if you're interested in helping with this important First Impression and can come to church 15 minutes early (for either service), please contact Melissa Poszywak (734-478-4463).  We'll be happy to add you to one of our greeting teams.

New Friends Dinner

Missionary News

Dear Friends,

We've been running at an asfully fast pace of late.  We don't remember if we took time to thank you for yoru gift of $300 in April and $100 earlier this month.  The $100 will be matched and doubled.  It will be a special help with our summer expenses.  May God bless your ministires this summer.

Change

As many of you know, last weekend I had a great opportunity to attend the wedding of one of my former students down in Lafayette, IN. Scott started to attend youth group when he was about thirteen years old, and it has been a complete pleasure to see him, as well as his sister Sarah grow both physically and in the Lord. However, it was difficult to look at him and not see the young man who came with me whitewater rafting, or, during one of his first visits to the youth group, sitting barefoot on a driveway trying to unwrap a banana with his toes.

How happy are you?

"How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of mockers! Instead, his delight is in the Lord's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night." (Ps. 1:1-2)
