Pastor Brian Pastore Brian

I became Sr. Pastor here in the fall of 2004.  Prior to that time I was the Associate Pastor of a Church in Illinois.  I married the woman of my dreams in 2002 and we welcomed our daughter, Eliana into our lives in the summer of 2007.
I’m committed to sharing God’s love for people in a way that makes sense to them.  I value creativity and relevancy in everything I do.  If you’ve been burned out on church or found it to be the most boring hour of your life each week then I want to encourage you to give it one more try.

Getting to know Pastor Brian:

  1. What is your favorite food?  Let’s put it this way… I think Heaven is going to be an endless supply of fried chicken!
  2. What book has impacted your walk with Christ the most?  The Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning revealed a God of love that continues to captivate me.
  3. What do you enjoy to watch on T.V.?  Sports, sports, and even more sports (that is until my wife complains that I watch too many sports!)  I love to watch; Chuck, The Office, and 24.
  4. What’s on your ipod?  Alot of worship music.  I love Watermark, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, and David Crowder Band.
  5. If you had one hour to do whatever you wanted to do what would you do?  I’d snuggle on the couch with my wife watching something on our DVR.
  6. What do you want someone to know who might be checking out First Baptist Church?  I’d want them to know you can come as you are.  Everybody here is a work in progress.  We are all broken, just in different places.  When we surrender our lives to Christ, He begins the process of putting us back together, whole again.  I hope you’ll come and experience the wholeness and love that only Jesus can offer.
